Bridging the Gap: Polymer science sits between chemistry and engineering. You need the precision of analytical instruments (DSC/TGA) and the brute force of processing equipment (Presses/Extruders). HiTechTrader specializes in bridging this gap with a curated inventory of both.
Carver Presses & Accessories: We are one of the largest stockists of used and surplus Carver presses. Whether you need heated platens for molding or a simple pellet press for IR sample prep, we likely have it on the shelf, ready to ship today.
"We needed a heated press for a prototyping project. HiTechTrader had a refurbished Carver with digital temperature control that saved us weeks of lead time."— R&D Materials Engineer, Automotive Supplier
Common Questions from Polymer Scientists
Do you check the platens on used presses?
Yes. We inspect heated platens for warping and verify they heat evenly. We also check the hydraulic seals to ensure the press holds pressure without leaking.
Do you sell software for used Rheometers?
Software licenses are often non-transferable. However, many of our legacy Rheometers and DSCs come with the original PC and controller pre-loaded with the necessary software. Please check the listing details.
What is the difference between a Viscometer and a Rheometer?
A viscometer measures viscosity at a single rotational speed. A rheometer can vary stress and strain to measure viscoelastic properties (G' and G''). We stock both.
