Parr 4525 1 Liter Bench Top Pressure Reactor
Manufactured by Parr Instruments the 4525 Bench top Reactor has a rating of 1900 psi at 350C. The material of construction for the head, cylinder and internal wetted parts are T316 Stainless steel. All the external fittings are T316 Stainless Steel.
A 1000 mL stirred high-pressure reactor has several advantages for research and industrial applications. The 1 Liter capacity is ideal for mid-range volume test applications, this provides sufficient amounts of product for testing without having to do multiple batches. The stirring components simplifies mixing of samples, reducing the likelihood of undermixed samples and allowing for a cost-effective solution for reactions that require agitation. These reactors find utility in a range of industries, including petrochemicals, catalysis, and materials research, where the robust design and corrosion-resistant properties of T316 Stainless Steel contribute to the reactor's longevity and reliability.
This specific unit does not come with a cooling coil installed, but the head does have the taps for the installation of one. It also comes with a FIKE 2000 PSI Inconel pressure disk. The Parr 4525 reactor mixing tower does need plenty of space on top of a table. The tower is 24 inches deep, 17 minutes wide, 42 inches tall and weighs 100 Lbs. The Tower is top heavy and will need a strong, stable table to safely operate.
The Reactor comes with a Parr Model 4848 Reactor Controller, which is powered by 115 volts out of any standard wall socket for placement anywhere in the lab. The 4848-controller come with a Primary Temperature Controller to regulate the temperature of the reactor vessel. The Heater can be programmed or manually controlled. The mixer can be controlled manually by the built in knob or controlled by a computer threw the communications (COMM) connection port.
